Water Damage Restoration Licensing
In Illinois, a water damage restoration license is not required. However, if the contractor is performing any repairs or reconstruction, they should have a Home Repair License. In case the work requires a building permit, a general contractor license is required instead. In addition, the restoration company should be certified by IICRC.
